Job Description 

Responsible for engineering duties in support of operations to include; projects, design, procurement, installation, and hands-on equipment and process troubleshooting. Provide technical leadership to drive productivity and equipment OEE improvements. Plan and manage projects to include; scope of work, schedule, resource planning, budgets and report regularly to management on project execution. Daily support of operations is significant focus of position and includes; hands-on troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment, coordination with maintenance and production scheduling for repair, monitoring and tracking of equipment productivity.
 


Job Requirements 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

B.S.E.E. degree and strong mechanical aptitude, with minimum 3 years engineering experience in an industrial environment. Minimum 2 years experience in automation, machine controls, PLC and HMI programming, drive system design, control panel design, system installation and commissioning. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be highly organized and self motivated. Must have ability to set work and project priorities and see them to completion. Must have proven team leadership skills as well as ability to be a team player. Advanced knowledge required of Microsoft Office products. Must be proficient at AutoCAD version 12 or later. Must be highly motivated self-starter and willing to work the hours needed to support a continuous shift operation.


Preferred Qualifications:

 

M.S.E.E. or M.S.M.E degree. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt. Experience with AutoCAD Inventor. 10+ years engineering experience in an industrial environment with a strong background in facilities and manufacturing engineering with proven personnel management and leadership skills (especially maintenance functional area). Knowledge of computer networking, both wired and wireless. Experienced in Microsoft Visual Basic and/or Borland C++ programming. Understanding of industrial power distribution and maintenance. Experience in combustion controls and troubleshooting. Experience in machine repair and refurbishing. Proven track record in estimating, preparing, and managing capital improvement project budgets. Proven track record in managing contractors and vendors. Advanced user of statistical analysis tools for analyzing manufacturing processes.
