Join our team as the Digital Marketing Specialist for Ripken Baseball, Inc., where we are 'Building Excellence, One Player at a TIme.'

As our Digital Marketing Specialist, you will drive digital strategies and execution to deliver on customer needs and support company goals. You'll need a thorough knowledge of digital technology, web, analytics and reports that drive actionable results.  You will also lead Search Engine Optimization and paid search and online marketing efforts for the company. 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Know the customer:
    • Drive digital strategies and execution to deliver on customer needs and support company goals
    • Work with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive integrated digital marketing plans that include:
      • Database Management (Updating, developing customer profiles, segmentation and analysis)
      • Brand website development and management
      • Email Marketing, including monthly newsletter and promotional offers
      • Online Advertising
      • Online customer insights program management
      • Affiliate Marketing
  • Know technology:
    • Lead successful integration with company IT resources and design test strategies that are measurable, scalable, and sustainable
    • Oversee digital messaging while ensuring brand consistency and maximizing investments
  • Manage vendor relationships:
    • Lead SEO and paid search and online marketing activities 
    • Manage day-to-day database vendor and possibly digital agency relationships

 

Requirements

 

  • Strong working knowledge of digital technology, web, analytics and reports that drive actionable results
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, computer science or related field
  • 3+ years in web/digital marketing environment
  • Budget management experience
  • Proven track record in recognizing business needs within the scope of the position and delivering on them
  • Proficiencies in current web and IT technologies
    • Strong understanding and familiarity with basic database structures
    • Strong knowledge of HTML and Web best practices. Experience evaluating the technical formats and aesthetic qualities of visual images for use across media
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook or Entourage, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
    • Strong knowledge of Web servers and basic internet protocols (FTP, VPN). Strong knowledge in the principles of sound web usability, navigation and content issues


Preferred:

 

  • Experience in both B2B and B2C / 4 years agency experience
  • Experience with database applications and direct communications
  • Pay-per-click and tracking experience
