Description
Well-established company is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources with minimum of 10+ years experience, gained predominantly in the federal contractor community, to manage the Human Resources department. Must be a hands-on HR tactician with a demonstrated track record of success in all areas of HR.
  
Must have Federal experience in HR.
 
The successful candidate will:
 
  • Work with clients to develop and implement HR strategies and operational policies to ensure efficient and effective people management to drive business results and optimize employee engagement.
  • Lead and develop a large HR team to ensure both strategic and tactical first class services are provided to business owners.
  • Guide and coach business owners to enable them to attract and retain a high performing workforce.  
  • Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all HR services and processes including candidate sourcing, selection, orientation, contractual terms, benefits administration, employee relations performance management, compensation planning, salary administration, and retirement programs.
  • Ensure business owners remain compliant with all AAP, EEO-1, VETS-100 and OFCCP reporting requirements.
  • Consult with business owners and their senior management team on assessment and development tools and techniques, leadership/executive development, organizational design, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Utilize appropriate metrics to ensure accountability and continuous improvement of the HR department.
Requirements
 
Must have:
 
  • Demonstrable senior HR expertise gained working in the federal contractor community - likely to be a minimum of 10 years experience in a high transaction, high service environment.
  • Ambition and potential for HR succession into a more senior corporate role in 3-5 years.
  • Minimum 7 years proven success leading and developing a growing HR function/team.
  • Resilience in order to handle high volume and fast pace.
  • Excellent reasoning and analytical skills, and exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships at all levels with confidence, along with strong influencing skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
  • PHR or SPHR preferred.
