Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design of packaged pumping systems and solutions to production problems relating to materials, processes, and tooling.
- Support new products by developing new processes, designing tooling and machinery, and developing production controls.
- Work with Bill of Materials Analyst to develop routings and material requirements in constructing the bill of materials.
- Analyze field research and product/component testing data for potential operational problems and performance linkages.
- Validate designs and improve product design reliability through rapid prototyping technology.
- Provide technical solutions and assistance as required by Sales, Manufacturing, and Customer Service.
- Investigate and resolve project development issues working closely with the electrical design team for prompt resolution.
- Document procedures and processes for use by Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Control.
- Develop cost control measures, cost estimating tools, and industry systems standards.
- Integrate existing methods with new innovations to economically solve design and production problems in a timely manner.
- Recommend incorporation of new technology for both new and existing products where feasible and practical.

Requirements:
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred)
- 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
- 3 years of experience in HVAC Design
- HVAC Design experience should include analyzing project requirements, selection of system components and creating CAD drawings of HVAC systems (chilled water, condenser water, steam systems, heat transfer and hot water.
- Knowledge of mechanical principles, hydraulics, fabrication, and machining practices, properties of metals, application of mathematics, dimensions to production machinery and tooling, pumps, piping systems, heat exchangers, air separators, steam system components, flow and temperature regulation components, and relief valves.
- 2D & 3D CAD software experience
- Experience with multiple MRP/ERP systems
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to react quickly to resolve problems
- Self-motivated and positive attitude - high-energy individual
- Team player/leader – works well with others
- Ability and desire to develop creative solutions to problems and improve the existing processes
