Navy Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in the world, has an anticipated opening for a Registered Member Service Representative who will also cross-sell investment & insurance products to our members and prospective members, while assisting members with meeting their financial goals through counseling and recommending appropriate investments such as mutual funds and term life insurance; and to serve as subject matter expert and respond to escalated, complex, sensitive, and/or urgent inquiries relating to members accounts.
Qualifications:
Target:
FINRA Series 6 or 7, NASAA Series 65 or 66 registration and Life & Health Insurance License;
At least 6 months of cashiering experience;
Experience as a Member Service Representative in Branch Operations or in a similar member/customer service position;
Comprehensive knowledge of savings and lending programs, policies and procedures with demonstrated ability to interpret, understand, and explain written and oral regulations, instructions and procedures;
Highly effective verbal and written communications skills;
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to deal tactfully and effectively with individuals in difficult situations;
Demonstrated ability to act as a mentor to lower level team members;
Demonstrated knowledge of PCs and associated software and the ability to navigate multiple screens;
Highly effective organization, time management, and problem solving skills that demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, work productively and accurately, and manage multiple tasks;
Comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to the submission, evaluation and processing of consumer loan requests; membership criteria; credit union/banking regulations; and pertinent Federal laws; and
Ability to resolve the more complex situations pertaining to policies and procedures, automated /on-line services, loan analysis and loan approvals
Desired:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Management or related discipline or related professional experience;
Knowledge of Navy Federal/NFFG organization, programs, policies and procedures;
FINRA Series 7 and NASAA 65 registrations; Life & Health licensed
