Compensation: $42K-$48K

  

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer for a plastic injection molding company.   Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels throughout the organization are required. 

  

Responsibilities

 

  • Interpret complex blueprints, geometric dimensioning and tolerating call-outs
  • Set-up and operate complicated metrology equipment
  • Clean and perform minor adjustment to gauges 
  • Perform statistical studies (Gage R & R/process capability)
  • Perform data collection and analysis including document and data control
  • Maintain and update Visual Inspection Criteria, Manufacturing Work Instructions, Quality Boards, and Metrology Methods 
  • Conduct training in the following areas; SPC, Vision System, Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Rondcom, and Optical Comparator
  • Monitor parts that are placed on hold and work with team on disposition
  • Create sorting and rework methods for parts placed in the QA Hold Area
  • Monitor and continuously improve the quality system on the manufacturing floor
  • Maintain the calibration system
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Quality Engineer preferably in a plastics company

  • Experience working "hands on" as a technician

  • Previous supervisory experience a big plus!
