Summary:
- To simply provide the guests of The Westin with an exceptional experience through professional interaction, an understanding of their expectations and leaving them feeling renewed after every stay.
Reports To: Guest Service Manager/Assistant Guest Service Manager
Essential Job Responsibilities:

Provide an exceptional level of service to guests and fellow associates at all levels of interaction using the Operational and Service Culture training provided.

Handle guest arrival and departure experience in a friendly and professional manner using the training procedures provided. Learn the Starwood frequent guest stay program and the Front Office processes that accompany it.

Professionally and effectively handle inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, travel directions, etc.

Complete daily checklists as well as additional tasks required by the Shift Manager.

May be required to make new reservations or change and cancel existing reservations.

Responsible for understanding guest room rates and daily selling strategies including potential up selling of room types.

Will handle manual postings for guests as well as other outlets within the hotel.

Responsible for cashiering duties in the hotel gift shop.

Responsible for a cash drawer, daily cash transactions and end of shift bank out process.

Effectively communicate relevant information to incoming shift.
Skills and Abilities:

Speak clearly. Listen carefully and effectively

Use personal judgment and specialized knowledge to give accurate information to hotel guests.

Communicate effectively with different types of guests, managers and fellow associates.

Multitask as required. Handle multiple activities such as computer use, interaction with guests, answering phones, guest directly assistance, etc.

Effectively operate telephone switchboard, Hotel Property Management System and other related software programs.
Experience/Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous guest service experience
