Director of Nursing - DON - Registered Nurse –RN

Crdentia has an exciting Director of Nursing ( DON ) opportunity available for a highly professional and experienced Registered Nurse ( RN ) for our Home Care business in Orlando,  FL.  This position is a fulltime position in our Orlando Office and requires previous home health experience as well as supervisor experience.  This position reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for the clinical operation of the Branch. Director of Nursing Position Summary:

---

• Assumes direct responsibility and accountability for the clinical operation of the Branch.  They own responsibility and accountability for all aspects of patient care, including staff selection, supervision, and competency testing, training and education development.
• Responsible for quality patient care performance, utilization review, emergency plan development, quality assurance, monitoring of infection control, ethic's meetings, state mandates and compliance, JCAHO standards of performance and collection of ORYX data.
• Supervise and direct patient care services, conduct patient assessments and re certifications, provide direct patient care as appropriate, assist in coordination of patient care services and ensure that all employees providing care maintain the professional standards and mandates that guide licensure under Home Health.
• Compile  and review all patient charts, maintain a 24/7 on call availability for clinical direction, participate in the resolution of patient complaints or concerns and conducts disciplinary counseling and intervention when necessary.
• Marketing in the community as a clinical ambassador, attend seminars and gatherings that promote or educate the home health industry and collaborate with Branch Manager to investigate and identify marketing potential for new business.
• Demonstrate knowledge of available community resources, regulatory guidelines/laws affecting home health care, reimbursement, insurance labor and workers compensation.

• Associate's or B.S Degree in Nursing required
• Current Florida State licensure. 
• Experience in home health care, preferably as a supervisor.
• Supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of AHCA and JCAHO rules and regulations.
• Marketing experience in home health care highly preferred.
• Skilled in leadership, management, problem solving, communication, time management, goal setting interpersonal relationships, organization and basic computer literacy.
