JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides callers with an unbiased presentation of programs to assist customers with application and eligibility requirements and program questions, transferring callers to other Call Center units as needed.
  • Accesses, reads, and interprets customers data
  • Performs accurately all data entry functions to reflect customer activity and transactions.
  • Answers customer questions regarding available providers based on data in the Network Information System.
  • Assists customers in problem resolution, as needed.
  • Assists customers in the enrollment process, including open enrollment.
  • Responds to customer phone inquiries in a prompt, courteous and concise manner.
  • Documents all customer encounters in clear and concise logs.
  • Meets individual performance standards.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.
Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification;
  • Background in health care, human services, or customer service;
  • Knowledge of Texas health and social services programs, and geographical area;
  • Experience in data entry and telephone skills;
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse, and disadvantaged populations in a courteous and effective manner;
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment;
  • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously;
  • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
  • Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Training from 8:00-5:00pm Monday - Friday
  • After training, must be able to work from 11:00am - 8:00pm  Monday - Friday
