Description
Technical Support Technician
Server Technology is looking for someone with a strong technical background who can provide outstanding customer service as well as technical support to our current and future clients.
Duties – including but not limited to:
- Provide customer support and problem solving under minimal supervision via email and phone.
- Majority of non-switching AC PDUs.
- High sales volume switching AC PDUs.
- Add-on/expansion products.
- Follow STI procedures to test and repair problem product quality in an expedient manner.
- Majority of non-switching AC PDUs.
- High sales volume switching AC PDUs.
- Add-on/expansion products.
- Troubleshoot and isolate physical and functional product defects.
- Provide training to clients in the use of products
- Perform creations of case, closing case, and creation of opportunities in company CRM software
- Effectively participate in assembly line production runs.
- Identify possible failure trends.
- Read and understand wiring diagrams and layout drawings.
- Thorough knowledge of product model numbers and visual identification.
- Perform client visits to perform purchased services
- Able to identify non-conforming parts or assemblies.
- Perform electronic assembly and repair per IPC standards.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Special Skills/Abilities: Lift up to 50 lb. Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.. Self motivated, detail oriented and organized. Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills. Able to read schematics. Must be able to travel to perform services purchased by clients and to assist Senior Field Agents.
Minimum Experience: 1 year certification from college or technical school or 1 year related experience or training in customer service. Degree in EET or 2 years experience. Proficient in software ie. Sales Force, Vantage, Omnify, MAS200.
