Technical Accounting Manager

This firm is presently seeking a highly skilled Manager of Technical Accounting to join their organization. For consideration candidates must have 8 + years accounting experience including: worked for a larger public accounting firm, strong experience in preparing/reviewing of SEC documents, and have excellent presentation and communication experience. This position requires a bachelor's degree or higher (MBA preferred) in accounting/finance with a CPA designation.

·  Manage the technical accounting research function for new accounting pronouncements and new transactions, including ensuring that appropriate GAAP literature is applied, research is properly documented and conclusions are appropriate

·  Research and evaluate complex GAAP and SEC reporting pronouncements, make recommendations for appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions, document conclusions in technical accounting memorandums and assist departmental personnel with the implementation of accounting for new transactions

·  Manage the technical accounting research function for existing, applicable GAAP and SEC pronouncements and ensure routine documentation is completed in a timely manner and properly maintained

·  Monitor emerging GAAP and SEC reporting pronouncements and proactively communicate with management on developments that could potentially impact the Company

·  Assist the Management with coordination of quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by external auditors

·  Undertake and manage special projects as requested

Ideal candidate will have:

·  Bachelors in Accounting

·  CPA/MBA

·  8+ years technical accounting experience required

·  Public AND Private Industry Accounting preferred
