Construction Manager

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Western New York management and development corporation is seeking to add a construction manager to our Buffalo, New York regional office.  This position will be responsible for management of all construction projects within the multiple business groups of the company, including new development.  This position will require a minimum of seven years commercial construction experience and five years project management.

Area of responsibilities will include:

• Provide overall administrative and technical direction for construction projects as well as post construction activities
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates all activities required to achieve a successful project completion.

• Manage department budget, and provide analysis of budget/project variances 

• Contract negotiation and review

• Authorize and approve all project transactions, including contract review, negotiation, purchase requisitions and change requests

• Ensure all company and project policies, procedures and standards are adhered to

•  Vendor and subcontractor management and interface withy client representatives

• Maintain official project log and documentation files

• Perform additional assignments as required

Requirements:

•  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college; Construction Management or Civil/Architectural Engineering preferred

• Five years project/construction management experience
