The Corporate Regional Director of Case Management directs and coordinates the activities of the Case Management team in their assigned region. The Corporate Regional Director of Case Management oversees the utilization, patient satisfaction and discharge planning process and works with the hospitals in the assigned region to ensure that these activities are appropriately managed to the welfare of the patient. The Corporate Regional Director of Case Management ensures that the hospital Case Managers in the assigned region, have the appropriate training and resources to ensure appropriate management of the patient population at their facility.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Operationally the Corporate Regional director of Case Management reports to the Vice President, Case Management & Compliance.
DESIRABLE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY: The ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with medical and administrative staffs as well as patients and families, in an assertive, professional manner. Self-motivated, self-directed with excellent organizational skills. Working knowledge of utilization management principals, and QIO screening criteria.

Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Four years of experience in case management or utilization review. One year LTAC experience at a Director level. Registered Nurse, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of computers with minimum word processing skills. Proven experience with development of positive relationships with coworkers, and customers. One or more certifications in a specialty related to CM/CPUR obtained through a nationally recognized accreditation body. Experience in insurance or commercial payer negotiations. Proven leadership abilities and previous experience in a leadership role.
