Executive Sales Manager


DSI Mining & Tunneling North America is seeking an Executive Sales Manager for the East Coast. This position will be based out of the Martinsburg, WV facility. The successful candidate will report to the Executive General Manager of US Mining and Tunneling.

 

DSI Mining & Tunneling North America is a division of DYWIDAG-Systems International headquartered in Munich, Germany. DSI produces and supplies high quality products for mining and construction applications.

 

Responsibilities include all activities related to the developing, implementing and executing of strategic sales plans and policies to support and achieve organizational strategies and objectives.

 

The essential duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market-share.
  • Builds, develops and leads sales team to maximize revenue.
  • Directs staffing and training needs.
  • Directs development activities and organizes sales distribution by establishing sales territories.
  • Recommends strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Represents DSI at trade shows and association meetings.
  • Acts as the liaison between the sales department and other departments within the organization.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Develops and manages operating budget.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Analyze periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client based expansion.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities.
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to industry and economic trends. M

  • Communicates with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred.

  • A minimum of 10 years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated experience in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles.

  • Technical skills in strategic and sales planning.

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve problems at both strategic and functional level.

  • Successful with managing talent to create a high performance team.

  •  The proven ability to plan, develop and execute sales strategies and deliver results in challenging market conditions.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills with particular emphasis on presentation, analytical, sales expertise and negotiation techniques.
