TRAX International is a rapidly growing company that delivers operations, management, and engineering services to the commercial energy and security sectors.  TRAX International currently has eleven offices at various locations throughout the world.

TRAX International’s core competencies include detailed design and analysis of power generation facilities, electrical power systems, and electrical grid infrastructure.

TRAX International’s clients include owners and operators of power plants, owners and operators of power transmission systems, and organizations responsible for implementing cyber-security protection of energy systems.

The Electrical Engineering divison at TRAX International’s engineering offices in Lynchburg (Virginia) is responsible for detailed design and analysis of electrical transmission and distribution (T&D) systems and power grid infrastructure.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will coordinate and lead the engineering design and analysis phases of T&D and power grid projects to ensure that client expectations are met and internal targets for gross revenues are achieved.

 

Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess the following skills and qualifications:

 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required in conjunction with strong interpersonal skills; must be able to interface with people on all levels.
  • Must possess the ability to explain and negotiate engineering design parameters that are critical components of electrical engineering design and analysis projects.
  • A high level of independence and autonomy is required to ensure that client expectations are being met and internal targets for gross revenues are being achieved.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally to support required meetings with clients at various sites.
  • A Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering is the minimum educational requirement.  Candidates possessing a Masters Degree in engineering will be recognized as superior.
  • A minimum of seven years professional experience is required.  At least three years of the total years of professional experience should be in fields directly related to the design and analysis of T&D or power grid systems.
  • A Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
  • Candidates who meet the above-specified requirements for experience AND also possess prior experience in the energy sector – (including, but not limited to, the fields of power generation and/or the fields of oil & gas production) – will be recognized as superior.
  • An ability to attain proficiency with cost & scheduling project software (e.g., Microsoft Project) is required.
