Description The Technical/Production Department of WCSH 6 has an immediate opening for an early morning newscast Director. We are looking for an eager learner with a positive attitude to join Maine's news leader.

This is a full-time assignment with occasional overtime. Primary directing responsibilities will be the early morning newscasts Wednesday through Sunday. The director on duty is considered the shift supervisor and team leader for other personnel on the shift. Other non-directing assignments on the shift may include master control, newsroom, editing or online duties. Knowledge of non-linear editing, graphics and multi-media software programs would be a plus.

Requirements The applicant must possess at least two years of technical directing experience or demonstrate the ability to switch a multi-camera newscast. You must possess above average familiarity and skills on all studio and control room equipment associated with the production of the newscast. In addition, applicants should have strong communication and organizational skills along with a proven ability to perform calmly under pressure and meet deadlines.
