SALES SUPPORT ASSOCIATE, New York
General Purpose of the Position:
To assist the Sales Division in developing, presenting, and/or responding to proposals for client/re-seller requirements, including requests for proposal responses and industry specific solutions. Additionally, to assist with preparing client agreements, interacting with clients, and internal staff. Act as liaison between clients, the Sales team, Re-sellers, and Webcasting Event Coordinators, to define individual event requirements and ensure success of events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs, and to determine system requirements.
2. Understand client requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.
3. Create sales or service contracts for products or services.
4. Act as liaison between clients, the Sales team, Re-sellers, and Webcasting Events Coordinators, to define individual event requirements and ensure success of events.
5. Work closely with the Event Coordinator Team to insure that operational and other event production needs are effectively and efficiently met.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to balance multiple simultaneous projects in real time.
Ability to think ‘outside the box’ in problem solving.
Excellent verbal and writing skills.
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision, and meet deadlines.
Must have excellent team orientation, and organizational skills.
Must be highly motivated, with strong detail orientation.
Experience in audio/video production environment a plus.
Knowledge of encoding/streaming media (Real and Windows) a plus
Production experience a Plus.
Familiarity with, and experience in a Sales environment.
Computer Equipment and Software:
MS Office proficiency - Word, Excel, Powerpoint a plus.
Photoshop
Database knowledge a plus.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with Multimedia concentration, with one or two years of relevant technical experience.
