seeking a Research Scientist and Senior Research Scientist to perform development of novel electrochemical biosensors.
The biosensors combine elements of electrodes and biomaterials.
The scientists will be expected to design sensor architecture, develop reagent formulations and test the performance of the resulting biomedical assays.
The ideal candidates will posses
Minimum of a BS in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry or related discipline
Industry experience in biosensor development.
Skills and/or knowledge of glucose monitors, electrochemistry, polymers, reagent formulation, FDA submissions, cGLP.
Capability of designing and executing experiments to support milestone objectives
Capacity for clear thinking and self motivation to achieve technical success.
The position is located in Saint Louis Missouri.
Look for analytical oriented, good note taking, build charts/graphs analyze the info and make a determination...
Developing ga sensor for invitro analytics for example in an emergency room, conducting tests to determine issues faster.
This is not just work, it's research in developing a device to get it to market.
Lots of autonomy from management to "run and look for interesting aspects within an independent workspace."
Since this is a device there is some involvement in "tinkering with electronic equipment" but there is an engineer on the team that does necessary fabrication.
Run experiments with electrochemical detection methods, make up solutions and lots of pipetting...
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience working with or developing glucose monitoring systems.
