Description

We are currently interviewing for the position of SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER  with experience with the Federal Government Contracts in the greater Texas Market.   The Project Manger will be involved heavily with the area of both federal and institutional work including court houses, schools, etc.  Must have at least 10 years of experience with Project Management.  Responsible for the preparation of estimates for projects. This position will work closely with Superintendents, other Project Managers, Vendors, Subcontractors, and  Accounting.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a requirement of this position as well as meticulous attention to detail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).

·         Review proposal specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. 

·         Prepare estimates by calculating various statistical data such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour and equipment costs and applying to complete scope of work.

·         Review/research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.

·         Incorporate historical data into unit and man-hour figures.

·         Participate in developing bid package estimate documents.

·         Maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.

·         Create, send and manage subcontractor requests for proposal.

·         May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality or availability of materials. - Follow awarded contracts as assigned

·         May include estimating extra work items, change orders

Requirements
  • Qualifications include the following:
    • Minimum of a 4 year Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field
    • Licenses or certifications a plus, Registered Engineer or Architect. Certified Construction Manager, LEED AP, etc…
    • Management of at least 2 multi story buildings with a construction value exceeding $40 million
    • Management of LEED certified projects
    • A plus is strong knowledge and experience in CPM Scheduling
    • Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
    • Site experience and knowledge of construction practices including QC inspections of work in progress
    • 10+ years of experience in Construction Project Management
    • GSA work experience
    • Government Experience is Required
    • Security Clearance and/ or LEED Certified
    • LOCAL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
