Description
· Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices.
· Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for compliance to company policy.
· Confers with vendors to obtain product service information, price availability, and delivery schedule for related materials.
· Follow the instituted buying procedure to ensure the best solution for comparing in terms of price, time, and relativity.
· Ensures proper receipt of all related materials and products.
· Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased; costs, delivery, product quality or performance and inventories.
· Maintain appropriate balance on inventory through minimum inventory levels and optimum order quantities.
· Discusses defective or unacceptable product and/or service levels with vendor/supplier to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
· Expedite delivery of goods to user.
· Maintain vendor files, including vendor quality surveys.
· Process Requisition forms/Purchase Orders and forward to supplier, accounts payable and receivable.
· Continuous evaluation of vendor to maximize cost savings for company.
· Prepares, plans and schedules for the orderly processing of orders.
· Develops statistical reports detailing weekly activities by utilizing spreadsheets, word processing, and organizational software provided by the company.
· Help and assist to improve the purchasing system.
Requirements
· High School graduate
· Attention to detail
· MS Word, MS Excel, and other programs
· MAS200 Experience Preferred
