Job Description

1. Coordinates renovation process from design to completion. Develops and maintains project work plans to measure and manage progress against the budget/plan.
2. Organizes and leads interdisciplinary project teams (design, construction, information resources, etc.). Resolves project team conflicts and builds consensus.
3. Exercises decision-making and problem solving skills to meet project target deadlines and budgets. Manage and direct staff in matrix organization (will not have direct supervisory responsibilities).
4. Assists with development of project scope and budget for renovations for academic, research, and administrative space in any UT Southwestern facilities.
5. Manages approved projects to ensure that the project budget and target schedule are met.
6. Coordinates and manages expectations of multi-disciplinary project stakeholders (Physicians, Physical Plant, Budgeting, Senior administration, Interior Design Committee, Information Resources, etc).
7. In consultation with project stakeholders, creates work plans, time schedules, and responsibilities for each project.
8. Schedules and chairs project team meetings according to project schedule.
9. Resolves conflicts and/or develops potential solutions for meeting project goals.
10. Completes all administrative tasks to launch and review projects.
11. Works with Financial Planning on funding issues as applicable. Manages communications among all project stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
Related operational experience may substitute for Master's degree.
Project Management Certifications desirable.
