Bulletin Board, the River Region’s most highly read book for classified advertising, is seeking candidates for the position of Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative.  

As an Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative, you will consult with both private individuals and small home-based businesses in the River Region that call-in and walk-in to place advertisements in the Bulletin Board product.  

The ideal candidate must have a high sense of urgency, be a self-motivated over-achiever and have a strong desire to succeed. Business-to-consumer telesales experience is a big plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Grow revenue for this high profile product by selling enhancements to classified ads placed by our clients 
  • Provide assistance to both walk-in and call-in customers placing advertisements in the Bulletin Board product
  • Conduct in-person and telephone presentations to demonstrate product features and benefits
  • Create product combinations and solutions to meet each clients' needs
  • Generate revenue to meet monthly goals by closing new business sales and growing accounts you’ve already sold
  • Develop loyal and long-lasting relationships through personal attention and follow-up
  • Understand current trends within the classified advertising industry, and inform clients why the Bulletin Board product is the best solution to meet your customer’s needs
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal communications skills. Must be articulate and persuasive over the telephone and in person.
  • Must be aggressive and fearless! Cannot be intimidated by developing sales through cold calling and enhancement sales.
  • Highly organized and disciplined self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have the drive to exceed expectations and outperform peers.
  • PC and Internet proficiency, including MS Office and Outlook.
  • High School diploma
  • Typing proficiency of 45 words per minute minimum
  • Accurate spelling
