Job Description

Arhaus Furniture, a rapidly growing, high end, fashion forward home furnishings retailer, is currently seeking a VP of Human Resources to work out of our corporate offices located in Walton Hills.  This position reports directly to the CEO.

The Vice President of Human Resources will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce.

 

This position provides organizational leadership for human resource functions including organizational effectiveness/development, staffing, employee relations, policies, benefits, compensation, talent and performance management.  In addition, this position will:

 

-          Provide leadership and support to all levels of management with respect to organizational development including structure, responsibilities, cross-organizational accountability and skills identification.  Lead succession planning efforts for all departments.

 

-          Develop policies, programs and processes that enhance the human resource/employee relations function.  Ensures adherence to policy.

 

-          Assist managers and team leaders with coaching and counseling for problem resolution and improved employee performance.

 

-          Develop, implement, and maintain a compensation structure which includes developing job descriptions, performing job analysis, monitoring internal equity and market competitiveness in salaries, setting salary guidelines and facilitating the performance evaluation program.

 

-          Develop the benefits structure and strategy including health, welfare, retirement, disability, life, and negotiate contracts with benefit vendors and brokers.

 

-          Ensure the integrity of the data in the human resource information system and facilitate the use of the system by ensuring that users are trained and information is easily retrievable and can be manipulated efficiently.

 

-          Recommend and organize programs that encourage employee involvement and increase employee enthusiasm, morale, and retention.

 

-          Keep abreast of latest trends and technology related to human resource functions. 

 

-          Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company objectives and culture.

Job Requirements

-          Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on Human Resources

-          10+ years leadership experience, for a multi-state organization

-          Expertise to develop and implement world-class human resource services, programs, processes, and systems

-          Proven success in building a high-performance culture that attracts and retains top talent

-          Solid experience developing and implementing employee benefits, compensation, and staffing strategies

-          Strong organizational skills and an ability to handle and manage multiple projects simultaneously

-          Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

-          Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, regulations and labor laws

-          Retail experience a plus

-          PHR/SPHR or other HR certifications a plus
