VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES - ICRS (Inpatient Claims Review Services)

 

The VP of Sales (ICRS) position is focused on our Inpatient Claims Review Services (ICRS) line of business, which extends iHT’s cost containment services expertise to inpatient claims management.  The VP of Sales (ICRS) will report to the SVP of Sales and will have responsibility for ICRS revenue growth for targeted health plans across the United States.  He/she will develop and drive new ICRS sales in order to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the organization.

 

PLEASE NOTE:  Healthcare industry experience as well as relevant sales experience is required.  Position may work remote/virtual and requires more than 50% travel.  No relocation assistance is available for this position.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Achieve annual sales goals, close new business.
  • Develop and implement annual sales plan, evaluate the attainment of sales/marketing goals.
  • Assist in the development and creation of company sales targets and forecasts.
  • Establish sales territories and meet sales quotas.
  • Develop prospects through networking and direct outreach to Healthcare insurance/payer companies and third party administrators.
  • Contact prospective clients by telephone or in person to solicit business by determining their strategic, sales, IT systems and implementation requirements.
  • Conducts presentations to the client’s senior level management team, demonstrating the benefits and emphasizing product features based on analyses of client’s needs.
  • Develops credibility and trust based on technical knowledge of product capabilities that meet client needs.
  • Manages prospect pipeline from interest (establishing relationship), development (understanding needs), to close.
  • Participate in negotiations of major contracts, developing personal relationships with key clients.
  • Identify key sales metrics and define and measure the sales process to develop benchmarks for growth.  
Requirements

 

  • Experience in selling inpatient review solutions to payers.
  • Knowledge of payer organizations and health payment systems.
  • DRG related and/or bill negotiations experience preferred.
  • Hands-on consultative, complex selling and negotiations experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Self motivated
  • Proven and demonstrated track-record over at least the last four years of exceeding assigned goals.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • College degree
  • 5+ years healthcare industry experience
  • Relevant healthcare inpatient sales experience 
  • Willingness to travel more than 50% of the time.
