As a Physical Therapist at Amedisys you will:

Job Requirements 

QUALIFICATIONS

1.       Successful completion of a physical therapy program at a school of physical therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of American Medical Association or the committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association.

2.       Current and unencumbered license to practice physical therapy specific to that state the employee is assigned to work by the Company.

3.       One year (1) of physical therapy experience preferred.

4.       Current CPR certification.

5.       Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.

  

 

State Specific-QUALIFICATIONS

-Florida State Specific:

The physical therapist shall be currently licensed in the state, pursuant to Chapter 485, F.S., with at least 1 year experience in physical therapy.

  

-Nevada State Specific:

NAC 449.788 Services to patients.

2.  Services must be supplied only by qualified personnel and under the supervision of a physician licensed to practice in this State. Qualifications include licensure, registration, certification or their equivalent, as required by state or federal law, for…(d) The physical therapist must be registered in this State.

  

-Wisconsin State Specific:

HFS 133.02 Definitions:

“Physical therapist” means person licensed to practice physical therapy under ch. 448, Stats.
