Job Description

Our client is seeking a Business Development Rock Star to manage a large territory.  This client is an established company with a fantastic reputation in their industry.  Their products and services are a necessity for many of their business clients, and they are price competitive.  If you are looking for the opportunity to continue your sales growth with total autonomy to get the job done, then this is the company for you.

The Business Development role will only be filled by a true "hunter" personality.  Our client only wants individuals who are focused on finding and closing new business.  Account Manager ("farmers") need not apply.  We also only want to see candidates who have earned over $100,000/year on a consistent basis. 

The sale is a Business-to-Business (B2B) sale, and is a blended inside and outside position.  You will set appointments, travel to your territory, and meet with C-level executives to close business.  Overnight travel is not extensive but you can expect to be gone at least one night/week.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • 5 to 15 years of solid sales experience

  • Business-to-Business experience is a MUST

  • Must have sold large ticket items or services ($50,000+/sale)

  • Must have earned over $100,000/year or have been right at the cusp to be considered

  • Hunter mentality - you love to cold call and it never gets old.  You love the thrill of closing new accounts and business.

  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

  • Polished, poised, and professional demeanor.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Solid mode of transportation - you will need a car to travel your territory.  Mileage is reimbursed. 

  • Did I mention you need to be a TRUE hunter?  Our client wants a bulldog that gets the job done. 

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.
