Description

Antonelli College in Hattiesburg,  Mississippi is looking to expand our faculty in the area of Medical Coding.  Full-time instructors are responsible for the following:

 

  • Teaching a full course load including basic coding, intermediate and advanced ICD-9, CPT I and II, medical insurance classes and other courses
  • Developing lesson plans for all courses taught
  • Maintaining accurate attendance and grade records for all classes taught
  • Advising students about attendance and grade challenges
  • Providing superior customer service to students, faculty members and administrators
  • Participating in all Antonelli College functions and events
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess bachelors degree in healthcare field or an associate degree in medical coding with a minimum of three years experience as a coder
  • Must be CPC certified through the AAPC
  • Teaching experience a plus
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Must have strong ability to convey detailed information to students
  • Must be able to work a flexible 40-hour work week including two evenings per week
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
