Description Linux Performance Engineer

A growing technology firm is looking for an experienced Linux Performance Engineer to take their global company to the next level.

The Linux Performance Engineer will be responsible for performance tuning, design and develop scripts and applications that stress and simulate load on the company software, and assist the QA team in implementing a comprehensive automated functional test framework.

The ideal Linux Performance Engineer should have advanced scripting skills and previous experience automating tasks in a testing production environment.  Excellent communication skills are required because you will be an integral part of the QA team working closely with other engineers and serving as a mentor and trainer of automation to the QA team.

Requirements Requirements:

-  Excellent knowledge of Linux (command line) and Windows
-  Proficient scripting skills in Perl, PHP, Python and/or Shell
-  Strong knowledge of networking and firewalls
-  Previous experience automating test framework development and software QA experience
-  Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
-  Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
-  Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
