CONTROLS ENGINEER

Description FHP Manufacturing / Bosch Group has established itself as the leader in the Water Source and Geothermal Heat Pump Industry.  Our 100,000 + square feet "State of the Art" manufacturing facility is located in beautiful Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 

FHP Manufacturing is currently recruiting a "CONTROLS ENGINEER".

The potential candidate will be responsible for all project work which involves leading and participating in teams designing and developing new platforms, variants, and applications, as well as trouble shooting new and existing products.

Job Responsibilties include but are not limited to:

*  Design of advanced direct digital control systems for water souce heat pumps.  This will include the evaluation, selection and application of hardware and software as well as the design and creation of custome software and electrical circuits.

*  Integration of FHP DDC solutions into real world applications

*  Trouble shooting of installed DDC systems (some travel may be required)

*  Provide support for manufacturing and testing of water source heat pumps with DDC controls in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

* Development of training tools and technical literature for FHP DDC systems and applications.

Requirements *  Successful candiate must have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field

*  An advanced degree in one of these filds is preferred.

*  Expertise in common DDC protocols (BACnet, LonWorks, Modbus, N2 Bus).  Familiarity with existing DDC systems and suppliers.

*  Ability to create programming for DDC control of water-source heat pumps.

*  Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.

*  Knowledge of HVAC concepts and systems.

*  Three (3) or more years of relevant work or internship experience.
