Medical Assistant

Company Overview:

We hire Non-Certified and Certified Medical Assistants. Typical full time schedules are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 8:30 pm - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, with one evening per week and rotating Saturday mornings. Day, evening and weekend schedules available for part time. Opportunities are located in Addison, Bartlett, Bloomingdale, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Geneva, Glen Ellyn, Hinsdale, Lombard, Naperville, Oakbrook Terrace, Plainfield, St. Charles, Westmont, Wheaton, Winfield and Woodridge.

Key responsibilities include:

• Measuring and recording vitals.
• Patient histories
• Rooming patients
• Preparing patients for exams and routine testing
• Assist the physician with exams and minor office procedures
• Collects lab specimens
• Changes dressings, applies bandages and other first aid procedures
• Injections
• Returns pharmacy faxes after physician approves refills
• Sends normal test results via mail to patients
• Autoclaving duties upon completion of sterilizing education
• Orders supplies
• Stocks rooms
• Disposes of biohazardous wastes according to OSHA standards
• Assists with phones, scheduling, referrals as needed

• Certification through AAMA or RMA is preferred.
• Prefer one year experience in a medical setting such as a doctor's office, hospital or nursing home; previous outpatient and/or adult medicine experience is a plus.
• Must be customer focused and professional.
