Healthcare Collections Manager Needed for High Volume Center over 15+ Collectors in Houston near Galleria & Betlway
Kaye/Bassman International is currently seeking a HEALTHCARE COLLECTIONS MANAGER for one of our healthcare clients. This position will serve as COLLECTIONS MANAGER and is responsible for 15+ experienced healthcare and medical collectors. Located near the Galeria and the Beltway in Houston this position has the opporttunity to advance to a DIRECTOR level for the right candidate.
YOU MUST HAVE current HOSPITAL COLLECTIONS EXPERIENCE in a management role. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE HOSPITAL COLLECTIONS AND MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. YOU MUST ALSO HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE.
The COLLECTION MANAGER is responsible for the day to day operations of the Revenue Management department. Including collections of aged accounts; implementing strategies to yield maximum return of cash; negotiation of settlements; support to external and internal clients; analysis of trends; recommendation of policy changes; staff development. Manages team of 15+ collectors. Reports directly to Vice President of Revenue Management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversees collection activities of personnel providing feedback and advice to ensure maximum yield of cash pursuant to established policies and procedures
· Manages third party relationships providing additional documentation and support as necessary
· Reviews aging and prepares analysis on team’s progress identifying key areas of opportunity, formalizes and executes action plans to ensure best collections
· Recommends appeal approach preparing correspondence as necessary
· Assists in resolution of facility and payer issues, negotiates cash settlements to yield maximum cash as necessary
· Participates in cross departmental meetings evaluating opportunities to operationalize process changes that will yield maximum return of investments; considers implications to other areas and overall impact to goals and objectives
· Regularly meets with staff to discuss open claims, progress, and best practice to yield collection. Routinely audits staff work to ensure compliance with company’s policies, procedures and departmental guidelines
· Evaluates staff performance; counsels employees not meeting performance standards developing improvement plan as necessary to increase employees’ production
· Develops and implements training programs to ensure consistency in collection outreaches and recording of the same.
· Reviews adjustments, approving or rejecting as appropriate; follows up on rejected adjustments with team

Absolute Requirements: MUST HAVE current HOSPITAL COLLECTIONS EXPERIENCE AS A MANAGER AND A COLLEGE DEGREE.
