We are actively seeking a Purchasing Specialist in our Arcadia, WI facility. This position plays an integral role in Ashley Furniture Industries future success in meeting our customers’ needs and our continued growth.

Job Description
Below is a list of tasks this position is required to facilitate.

  • Ensure appropriate MRO parts, materials, and supplies are provided to internal customers using the best cost management practices while maintaining favorable supplier relationships.
  • Work with internal customers to determine material requirements.
  • Make purchases and follow up with suppliers on the status of orders, expedite if necessary.
  • Ensure quality, quantity, and on-time delivery of materials meets or exceeds requirements.
  • Ensure proper inventory control of the MRO Stores areas.
  • Enter and maintain transaction and measurement data timely and accurately using asset management system software.
  • Provide recommendations for the development of buying strategies, product and value research, and analysis.

Requirements Listed below are the requirements for this position:

  • Effective time/project management skills to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge and skilled in the use of Asset Management Software.
  • Knowledge of material sourcing, supplier certification, and product quality assurance practices.
  • Proficient PC (MS Office) AS400, and Internet skills. Effective interpersonal communications skills to proactively inform departments, plants and suppliers.
  • Some travel required between company locations.
