Based in Bakersfield, California, Wm. Bolthouse Farms, is a consumer packaged goods producer of carrots, refrigerated premium beverages and refrigerated premium salad dressings. As our company continues to evolve its product lines, our merchandising force is a critical component to our every day business operations.

POSITION DETAIL:

• Act as point person on all Bolthouse Farms merchandising responsibilities within an assigned region
• Establish and maintain “win-win" business relationships with supermarket personnel including Produce Managers, Regional Specialists and corporate buying influences
• Rotate through entire territory while focusing on top 120 stores within assigned territory to ensure proper placement and presentation of Bolthouse products
• Conduct general merchandising duties at store level; duties include but are not limited to placement of POS materials, installing glide racks, resetting displays (potentially adjusting shelves), rolling-out new chains or products, implementing secondary displays, and conducting market research projects
• Establish and complete weekly, monthly and quarterly goals and accomplish set performance metrics
• Regular communication and reporting to Area Director, team, Regional Sales Managers, & consumers
• Direct and manage a Demo Product Specialist team; tasks include executing demos that meet sales requirements through effective hiring, training, scheduling, and terminating of personnel
• Create and Implement business advancing projects for all chains in the territory to increase awareness of new products, limit out of stocks, inform Produce Manager of ad specials, etc.
• Daily reporting of activities through Customer Relationship Management software
• Analyze and use sales, scan, and Nielsen data for business advancement
• The scope of the Territory Merchandising Director position will change based on business needs and market trends

Requirements Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree
• Internal drive, high energy, resourceful, responsible, flexible, and organization skills
• Ability to work in a mobile environment and navigate assigned territory (extensive local travel with some overnight trips based on territory needs)
• Excellent communication skills
• Capable of analyzing information and assembling presentations for buying influences
• Capable and willing to perform physical tasks, such as stocking shelves, resetting display sets and installing glide racks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary software applications
• Clean driving record
