St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children is one of the nation’s premier providers of intensive rehabilitation, nursing, and specialized care for children with special needs and life-limiting conditions. The largest pediatric post-acute care provider of its kind in the region, St. Mary's treats 4,000 children each day through our hospital, Home Care and Community Programs in the five boroughs of New York City, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and beyond. Following hospitalizations for complications from premature birth, illness and injury, or when special services are needed, children and their families come to St. Mary's to receive exceptional care, learn to manage their condition, and achieve a better quality of life.
St. Mary’s is currently seeking an
Education Manager to manage and coordinate all orientation and education activities for Community Programs. The qualified candidate will ensure that all staff are educated to appropriate pediatric and adult assessment, as well as agency policy and regulatory requirements; assure each Program provides orientation for new hires as well as on going inservices for existing employees; participate in the development of short-term and long-term educational goals based on identified needs through Quality Improvement Council and/or annual assessments and collaborate with managers to evaluate staff competency.

Requirements
Master's degree in health education or similar area preferred.
Valid BSN - NY State licensure.
Minimum 5 years home health experience.
Minimum 5 years leadership experience.
Minimum of 5 years of education preferred.
Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) Certification preferred.
