Job Description 

International medical research, development and production company is seeking a Technical Director for Scientific Affairs to be based in Houston and cover a three state territory.  The company has several unique areas of interest in the healthcare arena including Immunology, Serology and Immunochemistry with its broad range of products the company supplies a wide array of innovative testing products and services to research and Clinical laboratories worldwide.

The Technical Director assumes responsibilities but not isolated to the stated geographical area in North America for written and verbal communications and collaborations relevant to scientific/medical issues pertaining to the use of their products.  Provide scientific/technical assistance to sales and marketing teams and customers for educational efforts including presentations such as Grand Rounds, Tumor Board, articles for newsletters etc., design and execution of studies, and evaluations of company's products.
 


Job Requirements 

Ph.D. or M.D. in a relevant scientific discipline or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
Excellence in scientific writing and speaking, including preparation and review of pre-clinical and clinical data for abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations, preferably in Immunodiagnostics or closely related disciplines.
Data management skills (i.e., basic statistical analysis and data handling, interpretation of scientific data, and development of graphics) is required.
Scientific experience in areas involving Hematology and Oncology is a plus

Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated expertise in presenting scientific findings from small to large groups in the scientific community.
Teams player able to communicate effectively with all levels within the company and  with customers and respond to questions in a manner consistent with professional scientific etiquette.
Strong track record in prioritizing and simultaneously managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment for timely completion of projects.
Ability to achieve goals with minimal to moderate supervision and directions.

Travel is required.  At least 3 days a week for 2-3 weeks a month.
