Description of Quality Technician:

 

Rapidly growing machine shop is seeking an individual to perform dimensional verification during all phases of production and final inspection services.  Composes programs and operates Zeiss CMM inspection equipment. Understands and interprets geometric tolerancing per industry practices.  Follows and maintains compliance to ISO and AS9100 standards applicable to daily work routine. 

 

Positions Available: 1st shift 7:00am-3.30pm

Requirements of Quality Technician:

 

  • Ability to program and operate a ZEISS CMM with the Calypso software system
  • Previous experience in the Aerospace Contract Machining Industry.
  • Perform product verification at all phases of production using customer drawings, models  and specifications.
  • Prepares documentation packages to be included with shipments to customers.
  • Records test data for first article/layout inspections
  • May provide suggestions for the continuous improvement of the quality department and QMS.
  • Creates Key Characteristics charts when necessary.
  • Coordinates efforts to maintain a clean and safe work environment, which is presentable to visitors.

 

Education: High School,   A preferred candidate would be certified as an ASQ mechanical inspector

 

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, be computer literate and have some advanced math skills to perform job related calculations.
