Business Development Analyst Essential Job Duties:

Primary function is to analyze the housewares industry, Meyer’s retail business, and our key retailers’ businesses to identify opportunities for product brand, line and item enhancements.

This position will be responsible for the monthly analysis of shipment data, margins and store audits on assortments in order to understand the market share within assigned retailers. Regularly communicating key findings and potential business opportunities to develop business strategies outlining strengths, weaknesses, new opportunities and liabilities is an essential job duty.
Requirements
Business Development Analyst Requirements:

Must possess prior experience in a retail environment.

Prior work experience in a retail buying office or retail store is highly preferred.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business, with a focus in Marketing or Finance.

Must be computer literate and be proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet.

Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
-
Must possess time management skills and be able to meet deadlines.
-
Must be able to communicate effectively in English both in verbal and written formats.
-
Requires some travel to local retail stores on a weekly basis.

Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
-
Must possess the mental and physical capacities to perform the job duties.
