Job Description:
· Assist with testing and implementation of the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system, closely working with business customers and the Information Services Team.
· Assist with the load of financial data to HFM, reconcile, and ensure data is accurate and consistent.
· The accountant will be responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information used for the consolidation of the client financial statements submitted to Corporate using the HFM system.
· This is a temporary position for the HFM project and will involve detailed reconciliation of financial data from the Macola and NetSuites accounting system to the files sent to Corporate for the HFM financial statement consolidation process.
· In reviewing the data, the accountant will also evaluate current processes and procedures to ensure financial data will be submitted timely to Corporate and that the data is accurate and comply with GAAP and company policies and procedures.
· Duties will also include assisting in the monthly close process as needed which will include but not limited to closing journal entries, foreign currency translation, account reconciliations, intercompany invoicing and reconciliations, financial statement consolidations and review.
· This position will interface with accounting and non-accounting staff to ensure that required financial information is properly recorded and submitted to corporate.
· Additionally, the position will assist with the maintenance of the accounting and financial reporting systems and review and analyze financial statements to determine integrity and accuracy.
Required Skills/Experience:
· Must have manufacturing, consumer products industry experience
· 5+ years of general accounting experience with a public, multi-national company
· Preferred mix of both public accounting and industry accounting experience
· Experience with large computerized accounting systems in a fast-paced, high-growth company
· SAP, Macola and HFM experience preferred
· Proven GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge and understanding
· Advanced Microsoft Office skills
· Detail-oriented and highly accountable
· Process oriented, but adaptable to changing business environments
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus
