General Manager
Limestone County Water & Sewer Authority is seeking qualified applicants for the position of General Manager. This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising all operations and administration of LCWSA including fiscal management, billing, collections, maintenance and construction of facilities, operations and maintenance of supply facilities, and plans for future expansions.
LCWSA currently has 52 employees, over 18,000 water customers, and 750 wastewater customers. Our system consists of over 1000 miles of water mains and 63 miles of sewer. Our system is serviced by 2 water treatment facilities, 13 wastewater treatment facilities, various lift stations, and wells. The individual chosen will be responsible for an operating budget in excess of $12 million. The General Manager works under the supervision of the Limestone County Water & Sewer Authority Board of Directors, who is appointed by the Limestone County Commission, and is considered an exempt employee.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified individuals will have 5-7 years of practical utility experience demonstrated by marked increases in responsibility and managerial duties; a college degree in engineering, business, or water and/or wastewater related field is desired; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements. The individual chosen is required to have a valid AL driver’s license and must become a customer of LCWSA. Salary is competitive and based upon qualifications and experience.
