Overview:
As Current Product Marketing Manager for Kodak’s Inkjet Printing Solutions (IPS) Systems, you will be responsible for the business management, product leadership, regional communication and go to market effectiveness of the Kodak Versamark system portfolio and the forthcoming Kodak Prosper presses. A world leader in high-speed, variable data inkjet printing systems, Kodak helps printers increase revenue, add value, reduce costs and attract more business.
Job Functions:
Working in Kodak’s Dayton, Ohio worldwide headquarters for the IPS business group, some of the tasks you will be accountable for include the following:
Market Assessment
You will track current market performance and analyze results. You will assess the status of current market trends, the extent to which current product offers are meeting target customer and channel needs, and what adjacent market opportunities have emerged. You will also provide competitive analysis and response recommendations.
Product Management
You will manage the current in-market portfolio: integration of new products as well as discontinuance of old products. This may include repositioning and re-pricing of existing products. You will also collaborate with Engineering to make trade-off decisions on product improvements, fixes, one-off feature enhancements and customization.
Installed Base Management
Defining the rollover, upgrade, and refurbishment strategy for existing installed base units will be your responsibility. You will track account (client) performance and analyze results. You will also develop and facilitate region execution of installed base growth programs.
Category Position Definition, Articulation
Working with Future Product Marketing and Market Development, you will develop a high-level articulation of the competitive advantage the new platform delivers to the different categories to which it will be applied. This includes identifying the position in each category that you “own" due to the new platform. Refine and update positioning, ideal customer profile, and value proposition as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor degree in marketing, engineering, or business management
10 or more years of product management or product marketing experience in a worldwide B2B environment
A history of achievement through collaboration working with and influencing others
This position requires some worldwide travel for internal communication and customer contact
Direct sales or channel management experience is strongly preferred
Fluency in a second language (preferably Chinese, French, German, Japanese or Spanish) is desired but not mandatory
An understanding of the commercial printing or transaction printing markets is also a plus
