Stifel Nicolaus, one of the nation’s premier investment firms, is seeking a qualified candidate for a Wealth Management Coordinator for our Wealth Management Department. This position is in our Corporate Headquarters which is located in downtown St. Louis. The successful candidate for this position will perform a variety of administrative and higher level functions in support of the department and the department Manager. Will work to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the department’s activities as well as perform select mid-level functions.
Essential Functions:
- Greet visitors, answer phones, handle inquiries and resolve problems.
- Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, and reports, as well as prepare and process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Prepare expense reports.
- Set up, organize, and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material including off-site storage, as needed in a logical and easily retrievable manner.
- Maintain calendars; schedule appointments and meetings, and conference calls as needed; prepare agendas and make arrangements for meetings; make travel arrangements.
- Communicate with and provide support for Financial Advisors, clients, clients’ counsel, and clients’ CPA as needed.
- Compile, publish or distribute marketing materials such as newsletters, brochures, reports, client proposals, presentations, Investment Alert, etc.
- Prepare comprehensive financial plans, asset allocation, sector analysis reports as well as individual goal assessment reports, including plan development, printing, binding and mailing.
- Provide support to branches with wealth management services and VIP Program.
Requirements
- Two (2) – Four (4) years of investment industry, financial planning and administrative experience.
- Series 7, 63, 65 or 66, and Insurance License highly desirable.
- Thorough understanding of the investment brokerage industry, securities firm back office operations, and securities regulations; basic knowledge of investment products, financial planning products and techniques.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including strong and demonstrated Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and Excel.
- Able to develop cooperative working relationships with others; comfortable dealing with associates and clients of all levels.
- Demonstrated time management experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Able to provide exemplary customer service and support.
- Ability to interact in a team environment and collaborate with others, but is also able to work independently and have the ability to adapt to change and adjust to multiple and shifting priorities.
