One of North America’s leading Industrial Lighting systems supplier is currently hiring for an Inside Sales Manager.

 

Based in Hoffman Estates, our client is currently seeking a very motivated Inside Sales Manager.  This position is the primary driver for customer service and quotations management for our client and as such is the primary basis of the customer's perception of the company. It is an essential role and has a critical responsibility for achieving their corporate goal of being the customer's supplier of choice. This position works with the Sales management, Operations, and Engineering departments to ensure successful delivery of each customer order. This position reports directly to the General Manager. Working closely with our network of Representative Partners and the specification community, the Inside Sales Manager will build strong working relationships with both customers and inter-company departments.

 

Duties include but are not limited to: 

v  Management of Inside Sales department.

v  Resolve customer issues/requests as they relate to standard and custom orders.

v  Verify accuracy of all customer orders prior to data entry.

v  Create and maintain pricing structure with assistance from Director of Finance and sales management team.

v  Review all open orders daily and communicate to the customer or appropriate Product Specialists when modifications to the customer orders or requests are required.

v  Coordinate with operations to ensure timely delivery to meet customers requirements Process and track all sample, quotation, and product information requests. Follow up on quotation status.

v  Provide oversight and management of all sales orders to ensure timely responses and delivery and expedite when necessary.

v  Produce weekly sales reports for the sales and operations departments.



Job Requirements

v  Minimum 5 years experience in Customer Service/order fulfillment in an Industrial outdoor lighting systems environment.

v  Associate Degree in a business related or technical major or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.

v  Management skills required.

v  Ability to converse effectively with all customers via phone and email with a courteous, friendly attitude.

v  Strong attention to details.

v  Ambitious and goal oriented.

v  Excellent time management, organizational, and sales qualifying skills. Ability to follow Customer Service protocols and procedures.

v  Essential math skills including the ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.

v  Strong knowledge of (ERP) enterprise resource planning software concepts.

v  Basic skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Able to navigate on the Internet.

v  No relocation at the current time.
