BMO Capital Markets, the U.S. based investment and corporate banking practice of BMO Financial Group (NYSE: BMO), is an integrated full-service mid-market investment bank. Under the direction of the Director of Sales, US, the Senior Sales Manager is accountable for prospecting and closing profitable new business on behalf of the Bank’s Corporate Spend & Payment Solutions division, selling at the Executive level (CFOs, Treasurers, VP Finance, VP Procurement) to private sector corporations in the U.S. with annual revenue exceeding $100 million.  The Senior Sales Manager is accountable for delivering new commercial card and spend management revenue to the Bank in accordance with established annual targets, and representing the Bank as an expert in the highly specialized commercial card and spend management industry.
Requirements Knowledge (minimum):
• Undergraduate degree with 3-5 years C-Level corporate sales experience to organizations greater than $100 million in annual revenues
• Expert knowledge of sales cycle, from initial prospecting through closing
• Fundamental ability to interpret corporate financial statements
• Understands fundamentals of purchasing process in large organizations and accounting flow of payables and receivables
• Understands time value of money and discounted cash flow concepts

Skills (minimum):
• Strong new business development/selling skills, with proven results
• Experience completing and interpreting Excel-based financial spreadsheets relating to time value of money and discounted cash flows
• Exceptional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional presentation skills in addressing both small and large audiences
• Exceptional organizational and planning skills; ability to meet deadlines
• Experienced in coordinating deal teams
• Experienced in contact negotiations with both clients and legal counsel
• High proficiency using MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint to complete professional proposals, pricing models, graphs and presentations

Advantageous (not required):
• MBA degree
• Commercial card sales experience
• Commercial banking experience (e.g cash management, lending, relationship management)
• Experience drafting responses to complex RFPs
• Experience with MasterCard or Visa products and solutions
• Experience with Spend Management applications, including eSourcing, Electronic Invoice Presentment & Payment (EIPP), Spend Analysis, eProcurement. Vendors include Ariba, Oracle and SAP.
