 This position receives top level management direction.  The Deputy Bridge Director to ensure that the International Bridge complex operates at optimum efficiency and performs administrative duties required to coordinate Bridge daily activities.  Employee is responsible for bridge operation funds, collections and deposits.  Employee provides relevant information and recommends administrative policies and procedures.  Employee represents the Bridge Director in a variety of meetings and public functions to include meetings with elected and appointed officials, civic and community service organizations, volunteer groups and others.  .

Essential Job Functions 1. Assists Director in overseeing the daily operations and administration of the department.
2. Responsible for all monies collected at the Bridge including proper money handling by operators and staff, accurate counting of collections and daily deposits.
3. Insures ethical practices in collection of monies and professional operations.
4. Follows established cash control policies and procedures.
5. Responsible for cash management controls and reconciliation of toll collections.
6. Directly supervises and monitors operation supervisors, toll collectors, maintenance workers and contract labor.
7. Coordinates repair and maintenance efforts for toll system software and hardware.
8. Prepares financial and administrative reports for City Finance Department and enters data into HTE systems.
9. Assists Director in preparing annual budget and making audit deposits and paying creditors.
10. Assists Director in preparing monthly and annual statements of operation, statistical and comparative reports; summaries toll collectors’ reports; fills out governmental reports (e.g. Census Reports). 
11. Prepares financial statements and presents data at Bridge Board meetings.
12. Assist in preparing Board meeting agendas.
13. Assists Director in developing departmental policies and procedures.
14. Attends and participates in public meetings.
15. Coordinates interdepartmental activities and reports on it to the Bridge Director.
16. Implements and improves departmental business processes and procedures.
17. Maintains a positive work relationship with the Bridge Director, Bridge Board and City departments and City management.
18. Responsible for the achievement of assigned goals within areas of responsibility and responsible to consult with the Bridge Director to establish and ultimately to achieve approved new annual and other special purpose goals for areas of responsibility.

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
1. Assists and represents the Bridge Director by performing related work activities as assigned.
Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or Finance or related field.  An advanced administrative degree highly desirable.
2. Job requires a seven (7) years of related work experience with five (5) years of progressively increasing responsibilities. 
3. Job requires strong conflict resolution skills and problem solving skills.
4. Job requires basic purchasing skills.
5. Must be able to represent the City in a positive and professional manner.
6. Must be knowledgeable of business management and municipal government.
7. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
8. Must communicate effectively to a range of audiences to include management personnel, city officials, business community and skilled labor to technical workers.
9. Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
10. Must have track record of successful accomplishments with highly complex matters between local government officials and citizens.
11. Must have working knowledge of State laws governing municipal government and utilities.
12. Must have familiarity with business computer applications to include word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software such as Power Point.
13. Must be a team player with ability to develop consensus and to work effectively with multiple supervisors and other partners in the economic development effort.
