Director of Business Development – Sales Engineer

Baton Rouge, LA, travel required

Direct, permanent position, Salary will depend on experience

 

The company: A national leader in chemical cleaning of cat cracker, coker and crude units for refinery turnaround, maintenance, or performance optimization. This company maintains patents for a couple different cleaning processes for vessels and pumps in refineries. Their cleaners and processes for cleaning are vastly more efficient and cost effective than the industry standard.

Your role: The director of business development would be the primary sales person for the Louisiana market. They would need to personable in addition to having strong technical skills. The ideal candidate would be someone looking to get out of process engineering and into a sales engineering role. Maybe someone tired of being in a refinery on a day-to-day basis. This person would be responsible for maintaining and expanding business within the territory.

  

Requirements

Ideal skill set:

  • LOCAL CANDIDATES - must have experience in South Louisiana refinery environment.
  • Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering
  • 5+ years recent experience as an engineer in a refinery
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong moral/ethical principles
  • Must have experience working with crude, cat and/or coker units
