We’re in the Paper & Box Making Business!
At our pulp and paper mill in Longview, WA we produce an array of value-added kraft papers for converting into many end-uses by other firms. Paper for grocery bags, fast-food takeout bags and various multiwall sacks are the largest-volume products. Two hundred unique or speciality grades are produced for use by a wide variety of customers to make many different products as well. A large portion of the paper we produce is used by our container group’s modern plants to create corrugated containers used to package a myriad of products. In the packaging industry, Longview Fibre's prominence began with its leadership in creating corrugated containers as an alternative to wooden boxes—current citrus containers are part of this pioneering work. Today's broad Longview Fibre product mix reflects the dramatic changes in packaging in the last decade.
