Sr. L&D Consultant
Principal Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities in this role are to lead and support the strategic and tactical efforts in the design, development, implementation and management of programs in the learning center. Additionally, to form strong partnerships with subject matter experts to assess performance needs and make strategic learning and non-learning recommendations to enhance organization performance; departmental relationship owner.
1. Independently assesses needs, plans, designs and manages end-to-end learning projects that span large and/or multiple areas and that support complex and large change – e.g., supporting a new system or product to multiple job functions and affecting many processes
2. Responsible for the full learning cycle of course and curriculum design, development, implementation and evaluation. This includes developing and managing program materials and communications in accordance with customer needs and company standards
3. Analyzes industry benchmarks for design and development process, effort and cost, identifying, assessing and recommending buy verses build opportunities; explaining common practices on purchase and leasing of training products and services
4. Manages a program evaluation strategy, reports out on learning feedback and results and other post workshop components as appropriate
5. Provides functional expertise in an area of support
6. May facilitate complex professional or managerial training sessions when required
7. No formal supervisory responsibilities, but requires ability to lead and motivate project team members that are not direct reports, as well as providing work direction to lower-level staff members
8. May have L&D Program Leader responsibilities
9. Performs other duties as required
