Job Description:
This Software Developer Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting custom software applications. Strong technical programming skills in the Microsoft development environment, experience with relational database systems, and good communication skills are required for this position. This person must be capable of leading a cross-functional team of developers and testers to complete project goals on time. This position will be focusing on our Sales Tracking functionality in our suite of applications.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Provides technical leadership and performs technical tasks including systems analysis and programming related to the design, development, and support of information systems
- Performs preliminary studies to include feasibility, conceptual design, cost/benefit analysis, and preliminary system design. Prepares estimates of resource requirements in terms of time, cost, and equipment for all phases of software development. Translates system macro design to detailed program specifications.
- Exercises excellent communication within the product team and to management to ensure all groups are updated on progress and issues.
- Assesses and makes technical recommendations for long-term product architecture.
- Provide guidance in future technical direction by keeping abreast of relevant product technologies like WPF, WCF Services, C#, .NET Framework, disconnected replicated clients, MSSQL (scripting, jobs), installation technologies, Visual FoxPro.
- Achieves results, meets deadlines, and adjusts to quickly changing priorities in a fast paced development environment. Requires effective time management and organizational skills, and a thorough approach to problem solving.
- Serves as primary interface with user representatives.
- Performs maintenance and modifications of programs currently in use to keep them responsive to user needs.
- Assists in systems testing and implementation.
- Performs other duties as assigned to include work on special projects.
Requirements Qualifications:
1. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience), plus five years of systems analysis and programming.
2. Experience developing with C#, .NET 3.5, WPF, VB.NET, ClickOnce
3. Extensive experience developing with Microsoft SQL Server. Strong in T-SQL and stored procedures. Experience with SSIS preferred.
4. Software development lifecycle knowledge (design, code, source control, quality assurance, test and deployment).
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to work well within a team and project environment.
6. Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.
7. Ability to work under pressure on a number of different projects simultaneously.
8. Commitment to keeping abreast of technology and sharing that knowledge with others.
9. Experience with healthcare information systems is a strong plus.
10. Experience with disconnected systems and replicating remote devices is a strong plus.
11. All candidates must score well on a technical assessment to be considered.
