Job Description:

Under general supervision, but following existing policies and procedures as well as all applicable banking laws and regulations, including BSA and AML, is responsible for collecting all assigned delinquent loans in an effort to decrease delinquencies.  Works with the customer to resolve the issue in an efficient and timely manner and in accordance with all applicable regulations and statutes.

 

This position is location in our Operations Center in Springfield, MO and is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Responsible for calling all assigned customers daily in regards to their delinquent accounts.  (65% - E)
  2. Works with credit life, accident, health insurance, forced place insurance and other carriers to facilitate the processing of applicable claims.  (10% - E)

  3. Maintains a strong working knowledgeable of the loan collection/application system(s) in order to solve complex payment and collection issues.  (5% - E)

  4. Educates customers with regards to all repayment options including extensions, due date changes, and refinancing options. (10% - E)

  5. Responsible for preparing correspondence for collections, right to cures, delinquency notices and processed payments received.  (5% - E)   

  6. All other special projects, reports, and duties as assigned.  (5% - M)

Requirements
  • Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform the essential functions of this position. 

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate effectively with all personality types in written and oral form. 

  • Prior collections experience, word processing and spreadsheet skills, and a high school equivalency are mandatory.
