Data Center Process and Service Management Workstream Lead

Pay: $475-525 day

Our client, a global leader in technology infrastructure strategy and implementation, is seeking a Data Center Process and Service Management Workstream Lead to support large technology infrastructure implementation teams for our corporate clients. We are currently looking for experienced, success-driven individuals to work in Boston, MA. The workstream lead will have strong organizational abilities and have the capability to support several IT infrastructure projects in a large enterprise environment.
Description and Responsibilities:· Develop a detailed project plan, milestones, and deliverables for workstream
· Develop and implement an ongoing process for the tracking, reporting, and projection of capacity consumption and requirements
· Coordinate and assist (where required), current business as usual data center functions to support program
· Assess and review current processes for data center-related services including facilities record keeping and reporting, real estate asset management, mechanical and electrical systems management, circuit provisioning, space/rack capacity management/optimization, LAN port provisioning, storage allocation, network operations center, physical security, power/cooling capacity management, cabling, floor layout planning, Rack & Stack/hardware installation, data center capacity planning, disaster recovery, data center strategy, incident management, etc.
· Identify gaps, improvement opportunities and requirements
· Hold work sessions with stakeholders to validate and prioritize gaps, review recommendations to address and identify key design criteria for future process
· Recommend organizational structures or ownership changes
· Support staff re-alignment, as required
· Develop and implement consistent, defined and documented operational processes, consistent with the Firm’s overall ITIL implementation, for the execution of services delivered in the data center
· Identify tool gaps, redundancies, and requirements associated with new process
· Identify integrated (facility and IT) measures, metrics and KPI’s for evaluating data center performance
· Develop and implement a reporting package to identify the overall performance (applications/business process availability, financial performance, service performance) of each data center
· Evaluate vendor tools, RFI/RFP support, vendor selection
· Implement and integrate selected toolsets
